ABOUT US
We are a group of medical professionals, high school educators, and students on Maui, united by a shared vision: to expose students to the breadth of healthcare careers in our community. We recognize the need for more opportunities for high school and college students to learn about healthcare jobs in Hawaiʻi and strive to help them make informed, impactful decisions about their career paths. Our mission, Malama Kekahi I Kekahi, is to cultivate a community rooted in the spirit of caring for one another.

We offer interactive simulations that invite students to follow patients with different medical problems through the clinic. Students see the patient interact with a host of healthcare workers—doctors, nurses, technologists, pharmacists, therapists, physician and medical assistants, and clerical staff—and are asked to give a diagnosis of the patient at the end. To learn about each healthcare profession, students can visit the career center to hear from real-life professionals in HawaiÊ»i about their career journeys.

Our hope is that the program will inspire students to explore the health field further through clinical opportunities and educational programs, eventually becoming HawaiÊ»i’s next generation of healthcare heroes.
